Peter Smith
Executive Chairman
About Peter
Peter was appointed as Executive Director of Generation Development Group in June 2025.
Peter is a business leader with 30 years’ experience at a Senior Executive, Board, and Business Owner level and has operated in the Wealth Management segment over this whole period.
Peter has experience in international and domestic markets, beginning his career in Brisbane then working in London and Sydney. This experience spans institutional investment management and financial planning. Roles have included end-to-end leadership of large Wealth Management businesses operating in complex and highly competitive markets, and over the last decade, his focus has been on Board and Principal investor roles in the financial services SME segment.
Peter began his career with Macquarie Bank in their Investment Management business. He then joined NAB to run the MLC business in Queensland, before transferring to London for 4 years, where he was the General Manager of the MLC business in the UK, spanning funds management, financial planning, and business consulting. On returning from London to Sydney, Peter joined the NAB Global Asset Management business, a business that went on to manage over $150Bn in assets.
In the Wealth Advice segment, he is a past CEO of Godfrey Pembroke, one of Australia’s largest Private Wealth firms, and then he went on to lead NAB’s Australian advice businesses spanning Godfrey Pembroke, Garvan Financial Planning, MLC Financial Planning, Apogee FP, and Meritum.
Peter is the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Evidentia Group.
Peter has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA, and a Diploma in Financial Services. He has also completed the Executive Program at Stanford Business School in the USA.

Rob Coombe

About Rob
Rob was appointed Executive Chairman of Generation Development Group on 18 July 2017 and assumed a Non-Executive Chairman position on 1 July 2020.
Rob is presently Non-Executive Chairman of Colonial First State, a leading Australian superannuation and wealth management business owned by KKR and CBA. He also chairs Tibra Capital, a privately owned global multi-strategy hedge fund business, and Expert360, Australia’s leading online talent marketplace. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Five V Capital, a leading Australian private equity manager focused on investing in established growth companies across a range of industries.
On top of Rob’s commercial interests, he is a Deputy Chair of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) and Chair of the UTS Foundation.
Between 2013 and 2019, Rob was CEO (2013-2017) then Chairman of Craveable Brands, the largest Australian owned Quick Service Restaurant business. Rob’s tenure with this business was during its ownership by Archer Capital and culminated in a successful exit to PAG in August 2019.
Before joining Craveable Brands, Rob was responsible for all of Westpac’s Australian Retail, Business and Agri banking operations. Prior to this role, Rob spent six years as the CEO of BT Financial Group, responsible for all of Westpac’s funds management, financial planning, insurance, private banking, broking, platform and superannuation businesses.
Rob has 40 years’ corporate experience in Australia and Asia, primarily in financial services. He has had extensive experience on the Boards of listed and private companies both domestically and internationally.
In 2011 Rob was awarded the prestigious UTS Alumni of the Year for Excellence and in 2021 he was appointed as a Fellow of the university. Both awards were in recognition of his achievements in the business community and social sector.

Michael Wright

About Michael
Michael was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Evidentia Group in 2025 following the merger of Lonsec Investment Solution and Evidentia Group. Michael previously joined the Lonsec Group in July 2021 as Chief Executive Officer. He has over 25 years’ experience in leading businesses and teams within Financial Services, across financial advice, private banking, wealth management, superannuation and retail banking.
Prior to Lonsec Group, Michael was Chief Executive Officer Xplore Wealth, where he led the transformation of the Xplore, upgrading the business, which resulted a successful
friendly takeover to Hub24. At BT and Westpac, most recently as General Manager, BT Financial Advice, Michael successfully lead large teams across the Banks key client segments, responsible for change, leadership and strategy. Michael also worked at ANZ as Head of Alternative Investments and Head of Distribution for Banking Products.
Throughout Michael’s career, he has used his leadership, communication skills and commitment to a client first ethos, to build values-based cultures, inspire high performance teams whilst developing strong relationships with all key stakeholders.

Troy Swann

About Troy
Troy is an experienced and successful executive with global experience specialising in investment management. As CEO, Troy drove the development of one of New Zealand’s most successful independent Asset Management businesses. He also led the build out of NAB’s boutique asset management business which saw the acquisition of investment firms across a range of asset classes in Australia, the UK, the US, Canada and Asia.
With over 25 years experience in financial services, he has had a range of senior roles in Investment Management, Strategy, Operations and Change Management and been a board director of numerous investment management firms. He also worked as an economist with the Reserve Bank of Australia and as a management consultant with Accenture. During his time at NAB Troy spent 2 years in London with a focus on European strategy and M&A.
Funds management board appointments have included Pengana Capital (Sydney), Fairview Equity Partners (Melbourne), Redpoint Investment Management (Sydney), Altrinsic Global Advisors (New York), Peridiem Global Investors (Los Angeles), Presima Inc (Montreal), Orchard Street Investment Management (London), and Intermede Investment Partners (London).
Troy is the Executive Director, Investment Management at Evidentia and is a founding Partner of the firm. In this role he is focussed on ensuring the Investment Management program is institutional grade and is underpinned by rigorous and disciplined processes. He also has specific responsibility for the Private Markets offering of the business and is focussed on ensuring our partner firms gain access to globally sourced best of breed Private Markets solutions for their clients.

Will Gramolt, CA AICD

About Will
Will is a successful business leader with 31 years’ finance experience. He has a global perspective having lived and worked in senior executive positions in Hong Kong, Ireland, the UK, the Americas, and Australia. He has held a number of CFO positions as well as providing director, business and board advisory services to companies across multiple industries.
Will held the CFO role at China Development Bank’s US$15bn aircraft leasing business where he oversaw all financial activities including attaining the company’s inaugural investment-grade credit ratings, public and private market debt financing, treasury, financial planning, reporting and tax. He previously held a number of CFO and Treasurer positions within the finance industry and has also worked in foreign exchange, for Macquarie Bank’s infrastructure division. Will also has experience in London working for global accounting and advisory firm BDO as an adviser in their corporate finance division.
Will has taken companies through start-up and transformation phases and has operated in family office, private equity, and public company environments in multiple jurisdictions. He has a proven track record of instilling and driving culture and strategy and in leading organisational change. He brings a focus on business and profitability growth and a demonstrated desire to leverage technology to implement class-leading processes. He has designed, introduced and overseen systems, processes and reporting to the standards required by stock exchanges in the UK, the US, Hong Kong and China, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and similar standards. He has substantial M&A experience on both buy and sell sides and in subsequent restructuring and integration activities, has had significant involvement with the global debt capital markets and bank debt markets and has raised equity capital, including by way of IPO.
Will is the CFO, Executive Director, and a Partner at Evidentia. In this role, his focus is to drive the systems, processes and technology that underpins the Evidentia business to ensure they are class-leading and institutional grade, and to ensure excellence in the financial reporting function.

Darren Beesley, FIAA
Chief Investment Officer
About Darren
Darren is an experienced multi-asset portfolio manager and brings specialist knowledge in portfolio construction, investment strategy, asset allocation, and risk management. He has held roles in funds management and asset consulting over the past 19 years.
Prior to joining Evidentia Darren was Head of Portfolio Management at AMP Capital where he led a team of portfolio managers and analysts responsible for AMP’s range of multi-asset funds including super, pension, goals based, insurance-linked and passive portfolios totalling $80 billion FUM.
Darren also headed the research and development program of the AMP Capital Multi-Asset Group and oversaw portfolio construction, asset allocation and implementation across the group’s set of multi-asset funds.
Prior to joining AMP, Darren was Portfolio Manager for Perpetual’s Diversified Strategies team where he was responsible for a range of multi-asset funds. Mr Beesley has also worked as portfolio manager and dealer at Ankura Capital (quantitative Australian equities), and as an investment analyst at Willis Towers Watson.
Darren is Chief Investment Officer and a Partner at Evidentia. In this role he has responsibility for the Multi Asset component of the investment management function including capital markets research, and asset allocation. He is also the portfolio manager of the Evidentia multi asset portfolios.
Darren is qualified as a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia (FIAA) and sits on the Actuaries Institute Retirement Income Working Group. He completed a Commerce Degree at UNSW majoring in finance and actuarial studies and was awarded the UNSW Co-op Scholarship in actuarial studies.

Nathan Lim, CFA

About Nathan
Nathan Lim is the Chief Investment Strategist at Evidentia Group, part of the Generation Development Group. He is responsible for building and managing Evidentia Group’s suite of investment solutions, devising strategies for growth and acting as the liaison with the market. He was previously with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management from 2016 to 2023, holding senior roles in Sydney and Hong Kong, where he developed their multi-asset investment approach, which was recognised by the Institute of Managed Account Professionals as the winner in the 2021 Multi-Asset and Licensee Managed Account categories. Before Morgan Stanley, Nathan was with Australian Ethical Investment, managing the Australian Ethical International Shares Fund, which won the Best International Equities Award from the Australian Fund Manager Foundation in 2014. He started his career in 1995 and has extensive experience in asset management, research and stockbroking that has taken him across Asia, North America, the Middle East and Australia. Nathan is a frequent speaker and writer on global market issues, has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia, is an Honorary Adjunct Professor with the University of Technology Sydney Business School and is a CFA® charter holder.

Marc has been in the financial services industry since 2000, leading sales teams for a number of the most prominent organisations in the sector such as IOOF and HUB24. His experience spans platform administration, product, advice and technology and he has managed significant client relationships for almost 15 years. Marc brings substantial insight on the structure and drivers within our industry today. Marc was appointed GM, Adviser Solutions of Evidentia Group in 2025 following the merger of Lonsec Investment Solutions and Evidentia Group. Marc previously joined the Lonsec Group in 2023 as Executive Director, leading the sales and service functions.

Hugh Holden, CAIA

About Hugh
Hugh is a highly experienced investment and advice market professional and has over 17 years experience in investment management roles. Hugh’s broad experience in the investment management industry spans multiple asset classes including fixed income, equities, alternatives, and private markets.
Prior to joining Evidentia, Hugh was Senior Vice President at PIMCO based in Sydney specialising in working with Private Wealth firms to utilise PIMCO’s investment solutions and more broadly to assist them to optimise their client portfolios as part of the portfolio construction process. At PIMCO he also played a key role in communicating the firm’s macroeconomic views to the Australian Private Wealth market.
Prior to joining PIMCO nearly 9 years ago, Hugh was a Senior Investment Specialist in NAB’s Global Asset Management business working across a range of specialist investment managers and styles.
As Head of Private Wealth Solutions, Hugh’s role at Evidentia is to work with leading Private Wealth firms in the Sydney and Melbourne markets to collaboratively design, build and then manage tailored investment programs designed to drive superior business and client outcomes.
Hugh holds a Master of Economics from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. He also holds a diploma in financial planning.
Hugh is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Chris Carrodus, CFA
General Manager, Asset Consulting
About Chris
Chris has over 19 years of experience in the investment management and wealth management industry working in investment strategy, advice, business development and legal roles in the UK and Australia. Chris began his career as a financial services M&A lawyer in Melbourne and London before transitioning into investment management with leading global fund manager, BlackRock.
In his 12 years at BlackRock Chris held a variety of roles covering product development, multi-asset investment strategy, business development and head of alternatives investment strategy in both the London and Melbourne offices of BlackRock.
Before joining Evidentia Chris worked as CIO for a high-net-worth advice business in Sydney where he designed and managed a suite of model portfolios and also managed a custom portfolio of alternative investment funds.
Chris has deep experience across capital markets with a focus on multi-asset portfolio construction, asset allocation and alternative investments. Chris also has extensive experience working with advice businesses, family offices and foundations on investment strategy, portfolio construction, implementation and on-going portfolio management.
Chris is Head of Asset Consulting and a Partner of Evidentia. In his role Chris has responsibility for the Asset Consulting team who serve our partner firms.
Chris is a CFA charter holder and has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University.

Naomi Christopher
General Manager, Marketing & Communications
About Naomi
Naomi Christopher was appointed General Manager of Marketing and Communications of Evidentia Group in July 2025, following the merger of Lonsec Investment Solution, Implemented Portfolios and Evidentia Group. Previously Naomi held the position of Group Head of Marketing and Public Relations at Lonsec Group. Her career in financial services spans 15 years, where she has worked in similar marketing and communications related roles at other financial services businesses such as Midwinter Financial Services (a Bruvara owned company) and SQM Research, the funds research and ratings house. Naomi was National Manager – Marketing and Communications at Implemented Portfolios and joined Lonsec Holdings in 2022 following the merger between the two companies.
Outside of the office, Naomi has a love for reading & creative writing and enjoys writing poetry. She also has a keen passion for Women in Financial Services and is involved in various initiatives that seek to elevate and increase the presence of women in the industry.

Chris Smith

Chris is the General Manager at Implemented Portfolios, where he leads the team responsible for client portfolio implementation and asset custody. With more than 17 years’ experience in the delivery of Individually Managed Accounts, he brings extensive expertise in managing portfolios across multiple asset classes and structures globally.
Prior to joining Implemented Portfolios, Chris held a variety of positions within financial markets, ranging from equities and derivatives dealing to providing investment advice for high-net-worth and wholesale clients.

Bill Bessemer

Bill initially joined Austock in 1995 and became chairman of the Group in 1999 until 2009. Following a brief retirement Bill resumed as a director of Austock in February 2012 and became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in May 2012. He stepped down as CEO in November 2017. Bill has over 40 years’ experience in banking and finance, specifically in the areas of debt and equity structuring, mergers and acquisitions and business recoveries. He was a shareholder and director of a boutique corporate advisory business involved in all areas of investment banking. He also held several senior management roles and directorships with companies owned by the ANZ Banking Group.

Giselle Collins

Giselle was appointed a director of Generation Development Group in November 2021, having served previously on the Generation Life Board since 2018. She is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee,
She is currently a non-executive Chairman of Hotel Property Investments (ASX:HPI) and a non-executive director of Cooper Energy (ASX:COE).

Christine Christian
Independent Non-Executive Director
About Christine
Christine was appointed a director of Generation Development Group on 8 October 2024. She is Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
Christine is an independent chair of SelfWealth Ltd (ASX:SWF), Auctus Investment Group Ltd (ASX:AVC) and Tanarra Credit Partners and currently holds non-executive director roles with Arcus Partners and MaxCap Group. She is President of the State Library of Victoria and Council member of La Trobe University. Previously, she has held a range of senior executive roles with Dun & Bradstreet. In addition, Christine was a non-executive director of Generation Development Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Lonsec Holdings Pty Ltd, from January 2016 until February 2024.
She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and past president of Chief Executive Women. In 2020, she was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in recognition of her distinguished service to the financial and investment sectors, to women in business and through support for emerging entrepreneurs.

Peter was appointed as Executive Director of Generation Development Group in June 2025.
Peter is a business leader with 30 years’ experience at a Senior Executive, Board, and Business Owner level and has operated in the Wealth Management segment over this whole period.
Peter has experience in international and domestic markets, beginning his career in Brisbane then working in London and Sydney. This experience spans institutional investment management and financial planning. Roles have included end-to-end leadership of large Wealth Management businesses operating in complex and highly competitive markets, and over the last decade, his focus has been on Board and Principal investor roles in the financial services SME segment.
Peter began his career with Macquarie Bank in their Investment Management business. He then joined NAB to run the MLC business in Queensland, before transferring to London for 4 years, where he was the General Manager of the MLC business in the UK, spanning funds management, financial planning, and business consulting. On returning from London to Sydney, Peter joined the NAB Global Asset Management business, a business that went on to manage over $150Bn in assets.
In the Wealth Advice segment, he is a past CEO of Godfrey Pembroke, one of Australia’s largest Private Wealth firms, and then he went on to lead NAB’s Australian advice businesses spanning Godfrey Pembroke, Garvan Financial Planning, MLC Financial Planning, Apogee FP, and Meritum.
Peter is the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Evidentia Group.
Peter has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA, and a Diploma in Financial Services. He has also completed the Executive Program at Stanford Business School in the USA.

About Shenaz
Shenaz was appointed a director of Generation Development Group on 1 October 2025. She is also a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Shenaz is currently the Group Executive, People and Culture at Colonial First State having previously held senior human resources leadership roles at MLC Australia and Westpac. Her previous board experience includes the Women’s Community Shelters and MLC Wealth Limited.
Shenaz has an eMBA from UNSW and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Insead, the Strategic IQ program at Harvard University and the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
